Description

Constructed from oven cured prepreg carbon fiber. Prepreg carbon fiber is often referred to as “dry carbon” as the resin is impregnated into the carbon fabric at the factory and is kept frozen. The prepreg is then laminated in the mold and sealed with a vacuum bag and cured in an oven. This method of manufacturing carbon parts yields the strongest and lightest parts with excellent dimensional stability under temperature extremes. Prepreg carbon fiber parts should not be confused with VARTM or resin infusion parts, which are generally of lower quality.
